Privacy policy
quibo (the website at quibo.games and its game subdomains such as dispatch.quibo.games) is a small game studio run by a solo developer in New Zealand. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, how it's used, and the choices you have.
1. What quibo collects directly
Nothing that identifies you personally. There are no accounts, logins, or sign-up forms. If you use the contact form, it simply opens your own email app — your message is sent from your email address to ours, and isn't stored by the website.
Some games save your progress, settings, or streak in your browser's local storage. That data lives on your own device, is not transmitted to quibo, and you can clear it any time through your browser.
2. Analytics cookies
quibo uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, approximate region, and the type of device or browser. This is collected in aggregate to help improve the games. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data as described in Google's privacy policy.
3. Advertising cookies
quibo uses Google AdSense to display ads. In line with Google's requirements:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to quibo and/or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to quibo and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
4. Your choices
- Personalised Google ads: turn them off at adssettings.google.com.
- Third-party vendor cookies: opt out of many at aboutads.info/choices, or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland: before personalised ads are shown, a consent message asks your permission; you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
- Your browser: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The games will still work.
5. Services quibo relies on
- Google (Analytics and AdSense) — see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Cloudflare (website hosting and content delivery) — see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
6. Children
quibo is not directed to children under 13, and quibo does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because quibo itself holds little to no personal data, most such requests relate to Google's data collection — but you're welcome to contact us and we'll help where we can.
8. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes, the "last updated" date above will change too.
